Commercial Roof Replacement

WHEN REPLACEMENT IS THE RIGHT PATH

A commercial roof replacement is a significant investment, and it shouldn’t be recommended without first understanding the existing roof.

When a roofing system has reached the end of its service life, sustained significant damage, or can no longer be effectively maintained, our team helps you evaluate the path forward.

With more than 37 years of roofing experience, Joe Hall Roofing works across low-slope, steep-slope and multi-system commercial properties, helping property owners, facility managers and decision-makers understand their options and make informed decisions before a project begins.

REPLACEMENT ISN'T ALWAYS THE FIRST OPTION

Not every leak, aging roof or storm event requires a complete replacement.

Before recommending one, we evaluate the existing system, documented damage, recurring problem areas, drainage, penetrations, previous repairs and overall remaining service life.

Depending on what we find, the appropriate path may be repair, restoration, recovery, retrofit or replacement.

When replacement makes the most sense, we’ll explain why and help you understand the options available.

MORE THAN CHOOSING A ROOFING MATERIAL

Once replacement is determined to be the right path, system design begins with the building itself.

Our team evaluates factors such as:

  • Existing roof assembly and deck
  • Insulation
  • Drainage
  • Rooftop equipment and penetrations
  • Building use and operations
  • Access and staging
  • System transitions
  • Long-term ownership goals

From there, we can help you compare roofing systems, installation approaches, warranties and long-term considerations.

A TEAM BEHIND YOUR PROJECT

Commercial roof replacement involves more than the person who sold the project. From planning and material coordination to production, safety, documentation and project closeout, multiple parts of our team work together throughout the process.

Rather than relying on a single point of contact to manage every detail, you have a team of experienced professionals supporting your project, with clearly defined responsibilities throughout each phase.

That approach helps keep communication clear, details accounted for and the project moving from planning through completion.

Arborlawn United Methodist Church

Large-Scale Multi-System Replacement

This project concluded a two-year process working with the church board, engineers and legal counsel following storm damage. The 882-square project included four roofing systems, specialized crews and a five-phase production plan across an active church campus.

Our team also addressed areas of improper drainage with a fully tapered insulation system designed to eliminate ponding water. The project was completed with a Western States Metal standing seam roof in Blackened Copper as its architectural centerpiece.

Retail Commercial Property

Proven Low-Slope Performance

For this retail property, our team installed a modified bitumen roofing system, a proven low-slope solution with a long history of commercial roofing performance.

Modified bitumen was selected to provide a durable, multi-layer roofing assembly suited to the needs of the property. The project demonstrates how system selection isn’t always about choosing the newest material—it’s about selecting a roofing system with the performance characteristics that make sense for the building.

Mount Olive Baptist Church

Specialty Roofing & Complex Retrofit

This award-winning project on a historic 125-year-old Arlington church required a highly specialized approach. Our team retrofitted 40-foot Berridge standing seam panels and TPO sections over the existing metal roof and spray foam while navigating three-story heights and the removal of the church steeple.

Despite pandemic-era supply challenges and the complexities of working around an active church, the project resulted in a durable, watertight roof system and earned recognition through the North Texas Roofing Contractors Golden Hammer Awards.

AFTER THE INSTALLATION

A NEW ROOF STILL REQUIRES A PLAN

The completion of a roof replacement isn’t the end of roof ownership.

Inspections and ongoing maintenance can help identify developing concerns, document roof conditions and keep property owners informed about the performance of their roofing asset.

For commercial roofs installed by Joe Hall Roofing, we include a two-year re-inspection process to help monitor the roof after installation. Ongoing maintenance options are also available through our Asset Management Program.
